Hello, All
I just bought a Amp'd RAZR. I was wondering if I was able to change ringtone, like save them on to my phone from my computer with the USB cable, I do not see an option anywhere on my phone to do so.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

Re: Need some Help, new phone
what carrier is your phone locked to?
if its the cdma, you need to do seem edit and enable the option for tranfer/copy function.

Re: Need some Help, new phone
Seem edit not only design for gsm also on cdma phones, I can give you an example on motorola v710, if you need to enable OBEx, bluetooth or transfer copy function, then use p2k tool and download the seem 2742_0001 enable byte 4a , this willl not will allow you v3c cdma to use copy transfer funtion after when you enable the bytes.
Here is more info to make it clearVerizon V3C/V3M Specific edits
Use "Bytes (h)" 0000 - "Seem" 2742 - "Record" 1
Offset 7B Bit 3 - Vibrate THEN Ring part1 - Uncheck to enable
Offset 7B Bit 4 - Vibrate THEN Ring part2 - Check to enable With Bit 3 & 4 set this way, you will have Vibrate THEN Ring available as a ring style
Offset 7B Bit 2 - Moto UI Style Ring Control Part 1 - Uncheck to enable
Offset 7B Bit 7 - Moto UI Style Ring Control Part 2 - Check to enable With Bit 2 & 7 set this way, you will have volume 1-7 like the normal Moto UI instead of Low thru High
Offset 94 Bit 7 - VZW V3C .04 outside LCD - Check to be ORANGE, Uncheck for Graphic
V710 Specific
Use "Bytes (h)" 0000 - "Seem" 041A - "Record" 1
Offset 64 Bit 5 - Remove the RE: & FW: from text messages being sent part1 - Uncheck
Offset 64 Bit 6 - Remove the RE: & FW: from text messages being sent part2 - UncheckLast edited by phonepro; 03-07-2007 at 06:55 PM.

Phonepro, i want to take this opportunity to welcome you to WA...
you're doing a great job with your contributions, thanks for helping out.
Seem Editing looks very simple and it makes sense to me, but i wonder if the average cellphone user even knows what you're previous post is about.
Though hacking a cellphone might be easy for you and me, the average cellphone user has no idea what it consists of and in the process might even turn their phone into a brick, something that's always good to point out, you don't want them coming back wanting to throw their cellphone at you for not pointing that out in the first place..
I always try to recommend a simple solution before i even say the word hack or seem editing....just my 2.
