Re: Software for your Motorola phones
I really couldn't say, I haven't used MPT since I got my L7. The new phone can be recongnized as a mass storage device and transfers can be done that way. But doing an live update until it updates no more will give you the newest version.

Re: Software for your Motorola phones
You have to go in and manually set up your phone to be detected as a mass storage device go to menu, settings, connection, usb settings and change it to memory card. After that when your phone is connected it will be seen as a memory card.

Re: Software for your Motorola phones
Motorola's software update is a process that will allow you to update your Motorola phone by offering the most up-to-date
software available.
* Provide your phone with the most up-to-date software
* Ensure peak performance of your phone
* You do not lose any data
* It's safe, it won't harm your phone
* Your phone will be unusable for approximately 10 minutes
* You can postpone the update and initiate it later
* Please ensure the battery is fully charged
