If you receive the error code 0x80072F17, you may need a certificate to authorize your connection.
To add a root certificate to the Moto Q:
- Connect the Moto Q to the computer
- Open ActiveSync and cancel partnership wizard to go to guest mode
- Click Explore on Active Sync
- Double Click on My Windows Mobile-Based Device
- Then select Windows Mobile Device again
- Click File
- Click New Folder
- Rename the Folder to STORAGE
- Copy .exe file to the Q directly
CLICK HERE for Sprint Application - Copy .cer file to the storage folder that was just created
- Disconnect the phone and using File Manager Execute VZW_spaddcert.exe and select the cert file
- Reboot the phone
