If you receive the error code 0x80072F17, you may need a certificate to authorize your connection.
To add a root certificate to the Moto Q:
    1. Connect the Moto Q to the computer
    2. Open ActiveSync and cancel partnership wizard to go to guest mode
    3. Click Explore on Active Sync
    4. Double Click on My Windows Mobile-Based Device
    5. Then select Windows Mobile Device again
    6. Click File
    7. Click New Folder
    8. Rename the Folder to STORAGE
    9. Copy .exe file to the Q directly
    10. Copy .cer file to the storage folder that was just created
    11. Disconnect the phone and using File Manager Execute VZW_spaddcert.exe and select the cert file
    12. Reboot the phone
