I read that Motorola's iTAP predictive text can actually predict a long word after you have only typed a few letters. From what I read on the net, it finishes the word in grey letters and you can choose to accept it.
The problem is, the Moto phones I have seen in the store DON'T DO THIS! They don't try to finish the word in grey letters, they make you type the whole word. I've tested the W205 and W208 phones. Neither does it. Is this a feature that is only implemented on high-end Moto phones? Or is there something I'm not doing right?
Also, is there no easy way, in iTAP, to insert a period at the end of a sentence? Pressing "1" defaults to the number 1. It should be easy to enter a period. How do you do it?
Thanks.

my e815 does it... and the period is the first choice on the "1" key while in text mode (except when doing email addies, then it is "@" and the second choice is "."). I haven't researched either of the phones you've seen, but I know that it is possible to turn the feature off in the menus

But I'm looking for a low-end phone, so no Moto for me.
