Unlocked SLVR question!

I am thinking about purchasing a unlocked pink slvr l7 (I am going to change the housing). It was used on the AT&T/Cingular carrier, and I use US Cellular. My question is, since it is unlocked, am I able to transfer it between carriers?

im going to assume because when you unlock a phone its so you can use it with any carrier. i have the slvr l7 which is originally through cingular but since i got it unlocked i use it through tmobile. i hope that helps, if i understood your question right. if not sorry !
