Okay, so I've had my V555 for going on 2 years now, and although it has been a good phone, it is also starting to show its age, both in the performance and aesthetic departments. I have had my eye on the Z3 RIZR, and was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with it. I have read a few reviews on it, and there seems to be more than just a few complaints about how it can be a little difficult to use if you text a lot. There are no dealers around my area that carry this phone, which sucks because I wanted some hands on time before I made my decision to purchase it or not. So, if there is anyone out there that has had a chance to use the Z3 at all, some insight/advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Be very wary. Slider phones have never been big sellers. No manufacturer has ever had a best selling phone designed as a slider phone. The best sellers of all time are either flip phones or candybar phones.

Slider phones also get a (deserved) reputation for not being comfortable to your ear.

They make vanilla and chocolate ice cream because people have different tastes. But remember, no slider phone has ever been a top seller.

I had the Rizr for about a week, sliding phones are just not for me, the keypad layout is too cramped for texting, i also rather have my screen protected with a flip.

narrow down your options from the hundreds of phones available to just a few. Don’t worry, it’s easier than you think. The first thing to do is set a budget and stick to it. This means phones that cost more than what you’re willing to spend are out of the picture.
