I bought an Ebay phone (moto v710, formerly an Alltel phone apparently...) and I am trying to activate it with US Cellular. The first time I tried they asked if it was a US Cellular phone and I said no. Then he told me that he couldn't activate it. So I called again, this time the lady didn't as if it was a US Cellular phone so we took all the steps to activate it, but it wouldn't. So she told me I would have to take it to the store and see what they can do.


Now I know they will give me a hard time at the store, so is there anything I can do to make this just a basic old phone? Like it doesn't have a network or something? How can I get them to not be stupid and activate it? Thanks!
