My current phone is the Nokia 6236i, which I have been very happy with save for one problem. The vibrate no longer works (and was rather weak when it was functional). I am a college student and would like to spare the embarrassment of the ringtone during lecture. I am too forgetful to turn my phone to silent before every class, so my phone spends its entire life in silent mode.
I am currently looking at replacing my Nokia 6236i with the Moto KRZR k1m, but have a few questions first:
1) How strong is the vibrate? I need to be able to feel the vibrate through a loose pocket (my pants aren't excessively baggy, but they are certainly not tight either)
2) It would be nice to be able to sync contacts with my computer. Does Verizon support this feature over Bluetooth with this phone, or is bluetooth limited to headset functionality?
3) If Bluetooth doesn't work for a contact sync, can this be done over a cable?
4) How sturdy is this phone? A friend of mine has this phone, she says it is falling apart on her. I take this with a grain of salt, as she drops/abuses her phone a bit. I am reasonably careful with my phones (I do not use a case or holster, but my phones are rarely dropped and never abused). Can anyone who is reasonably careful with their KRZR comment on this?
I am not too worried about media features, I just need a good phone, and I'm thinking seriously about Bluetooth now that it's so pervasive.
I am also looking into the Nokia 6315i (questions in the Nokia forum) and the Moto W385 (questions in this forum)
Thanks for any insight/experience
