This Old Geezer was forced to retire his ancient analog motorola bag for a new CDMA capable hend held. They tore down the last of the analog towers around here, so it was not an option. Not even 911 service on the old analog motorola bags. I have a new Motorola W385, and the manual is not the least bit helpful, except to show you where the viewscreen is located, how to power up the W385, and where the battery is accessed. I have never been so put off by a user guide, either the printed fold out that came with the W385, or the downloaded pdf that claims to be a user guide. Shame on Motorola for such lousy support documents. They actually have more text and work in the legal guide booklet than the user guide foldout. Neither user guides truly help explain the menu options, and the one thing I miss the most is a readable guide to the voice features. The help screen for the voice features is black text on a dark red image. Can you believe some programmer would be so foolish to create such a poorly viewable combination. Is there a usable guide explaining how to use the motorola W385 that actually shows all of the menu options. I think the closest provider similar to mine would be Verizo..n, who will likely buy out Unicel in our area in the next few months anyway. We keep getting told any day, but that's like "the checks in the mail". Can anyone offer a source for an helpful guide, rather than refer me back to the useless motorola information? I feel you on the user guides from Motorola, most likely you will only find the same lousy guide everywhere else, but if you go to Verizon's homepage, there under 'support' for your devices, you will find an animated guide for the type of phone you have, if you need assistance in finding verizon's support page get back to me.
