I used to have two nextel phones and was able to make my own ringtones for them using webjal or something like that. I got rid of them about two years ago and just picked up my first cell phone since that time. I just bought a W370 Tracfone and would like to make some ringtones for it. First is it possible? And second if it is possible how do I go about doing it for this phone?

Re: Making my own ringtones on W370?
If you go to freeringers.com you can open an account for $7.99 and then you make unlimited MP3 ringtones and send them to your phone. You will have to download a cropping program if you don't have one, and a conversion program to convert them to MP3's, but you can get free ones. I've been using this for quite a while, although I don't need it anymore.

Re: Making my own ringtones on W370?
I have the same phone model, and if you made your own ringtone, you would have to make sure it is in .midi format, as the phone will not accept any other type of ringtone. You will have to e-mail it to your phone's e-mail address ([email protected] is my phone's e-mail for example). If you try to download any custom ringtones through the browser, it will not work, as the browser for this phone is only equipped to go to Tracfone's website, however if you don't mind that, you can download their ringtones in exchange for minutes. Once you receive the ringtone, download it to your custom storage and apply as ringtone (it does take 1.00 units to accept the text/mms message of course). I have sent myself several this way. Hope this helps.
