sorry to post another help question but this has been bothering me for about 7 years and I think that's also part of the problem. I have a a Razr v3 and i've converted from about 3 old phones and never had voicemail. I hold the fast dial button being 1 to call my voicemail and it does call, then the operator asks me for my 10 digit mailbox number and i enter my cellphone number but it's probably wrong. It says it's wrong anyway. I probably have to call my provider to get the right number...
