I have owned a w755 for a while now; I also have a w385, & have the same issue with both phones. When driving along through a previously good reception area, the call will simply drop, i.e. hang up just like you push the end button.

I can redial immediately & usually get reconnected right away. Is this a "habit" of the "new generation" phones? My prev. phone was a Siemens S46 which I had used 4 about 5 years. When it would lose a call, you would get some breakup on the line, at least warning you what was about to happen, & also the display would light up.

The phone would attempt to hold the signal, & a lot of times after you passed through that bad area, you could resume talking without disconnect. The Siemens was using the GSM band. These new phones I have give you no warning whatsoever.

Is there something in the programming menu that I can "tweak"? I am hoping so, as the calls seem to drop on a somewhat regular basis. I am using Verizon as my carrier, in Pennsylvania.
