I received my ROKR E8 on Tuesday. I let it charge and set it up Tuesday night. On Wednesday, I used it to talk on, text on, upload songs, set picture ID's, update MyFaves, play music, etc. From 6:00 AM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, the phone showed a full battery on the home screen and under the Settings - Phone Settings - Battery Meter menu it said 100%. Around 8:00 PM, I noticed the battery icon on the home screen had lost a bar and was now only showing 2 of the 3 bars in green. I checked the Battery Meter and it was now at 50%. I plugged the phone into charge, and checked the meter again a little while later, and it now said 20%, with the battery icon showing only one bar and was a yellow/green color. I let it charge over night, and when I woke the meter said 100% and the phone itself said "fully charged" on the home screen, with all bars lit on the battery icon. Today, I used the phone to talk on and to text and to take pictures. From 6:00 AM until 12:45, the battery icon on the home screen was fully lit with all bars in blue, and the battery meter read 100%. Then, the meter drops to 50%, after much less use than it had on it yesterday.

Everything I've read about this phone said it had EXCELLENT battery life. However, it seems a little shaky. It doesn't do intervials like 100%, 90%, 80%, 70%? It's supposed to drop from 100% to 50%? Then show 20% while charging? Something doesn't seem right? I've only had it two days.

sounds like the battery is the problem... and YES, batteries come from the factory being faulty. It can also be the circuit board being the problem. Get a local cellphone technician examine it for you
