when you try to install MPT it is asking for a password! whats the deal?

The software is compressed (using winrar) and have password (cellphone forums) to decompress, so if you want to install fisrt decompress, put the pasword and install it!.

MPT does not work for me. using win vista... plz some help! does not recognize the phone on USB port...

Your cellphone its compatible with MPT ? (see compatible model list on top),
Re-install MPT or check your cable (COM port) driver.

Or give me your model maybe can attach generic usb modem driver for your phone.

Is MPT 5 a free download? My understanding is that you have to pay for it. If it's not free, what would be a fair price to pay? Looks like Motorola wants about $35 for a new disk, but I have seen it thru other vendors (Amazon, etc.) for less. I'm not opposed to paying for it as long as it's worth having.

I do have an earlier version on CD (ver 3.28), which came with a USB cable I ordered for my wife's phone. I really haven't used it much since I use MSU and P2kCommander for ringtones and wallpaper. My phone is a Moto Z6tv ... MPT 3.28 doesn't recognize it, but I can get limited usage by selecting "Generic CDMA" as the phone model. Would having an older version qualify for a free upgrade?

Anyone think that having MPT would be worth paying for the latest version rather than just using MSU? Other than being able to sync Calendar, what are some of the other worthwhile features of MPT? Thanks for any input.

The software that appears on the link is free, I do not understand why we must pay for software that should be free as it is a complementary service when we purchase a cellphone.

As you say if a software works fine and is good I'm not opposed to pay, however, in my opinion should be free as I explained.

I come using the MPT since first version, MPT3 had many problems and could not be updated, MPT4 improve but it's incompatible with some models Although they are on the list of supported phones, now with the latest version I have no problems.

If you prefer try the new version and see by yourself how it's works, if you like or prefer an earlier version (MTP4) maybe can upload it.
