I am new here so excuse me.........Anyway, I have Alltel as a carrier and have a Motorola Razor V-3 that a friend had and he gave to me as my other cell crapped out on me. I'm wanting to get this phone (Razor) programmed to the same package I had with my other phone. Well, I took it in to Alltel to day and the guy says its on a different network after taking back off of phone. My question is: Is there software that will program this phone to a different network to work with Alltel or can I change out Sim card or something so I can stay with Alltel and have my same package? I sure do thank everyone that reads and reply to this alot...Thank you!

Re: Motorla Razor V3 help
First, Alltel phones do not use a sim card, they're a CDMA provider, only GSM carriers with the exception of Nextel an iden service provider uses a sim card.....
Most likely the Razr your friend gave you is on a different CDMA service provider's network which in that case cannot be activated do to the fact the handset would have to be flashed with Alltel's software which is something no CDMA will do, if that Razr is a GSM version, it would only work with T-Mobile or AT&T and/or other GSM service providers.
I will however give you rep points for providing your service provider's name and phone model as well as filling out your profile, most folks who ask for help usually failed to give us this information.
