Krzr K1m Adding music file problem

Hey I own a Krzr K1m for Verizon wireless and i can no longer seem to put my music on it. I didn't have a problem doing it before when I was running Windows XP but I got a new computer with Vista and since then i couldn't use the cord to add music to the phone. The computer would recognize that it is there but it wouldn't let me do anything with it and i couldn't add music through WMP (Windows media player). So I used a micro sd card adapter and put it directly into the computer. now it lets me put music on the card but when i use WMP it makes it own folder on the card so instead i added files directly so the card labeled "my_music" all of which were mp3. now when i go to my music player after putting the card back in my phone the screen locks up and after a awhile it just goes back to the main screen. Furthermore even after i remove all the music off the card the music screen still locks up. it is only after I remove the card that the music screen works. Everything else works fine on the phone still but i cant play music. anyone have a solution?
