Still can't unlock krzr mp3 for ringtones

I've been reading all day and trying every workaround. Nothing seems to be working. I can't get my mp3's to show apply as ringtone.

I have a krzr red, if that helps at all.

What do you mean "unlock"? How are you trying to download the ringtones to the phone? I don't know why, but the computer don't unblock the memory card when you connect it directly to the computer. It won't allow you to delete anything. You have to connect the phone with the memory card to the computer, make sure you have the drivers. If this is not the problem you are actually having, please post some more info. so we can help you.

I used to have this problem until I accidently stumbled upon an easy solution. I'm typing this up from memory as I can't find the original instructions right now but this is what you do:

1) First get an .mp3 of the song you want and cut out the portion you want to play when someone calls you. You would need some audio software but that easy to get.

2) Rename it to ~AlertFile138.mp3

3) Go to Settings>Connection>USB Settings and set it to Memory Card

4) Connect the USB cable from your computer to your phone and move the ~AlertFile138.mp3 to your phone.

5) Go to Media>Audio and move it from the memory card to the phone memory.

6) Go to Settings>Ring Styles>Detail. There should be a new ring tone called "YummyMoto", set that as your ring tone and you're done!
