moto q problem

my phone battery died plugged it in to charge didnt charge overnight tried to plug charger back in and it says:

MOTOROLA FLASH MODE
BOOTLOADER VERSION:
BOOT_C_03.05.00R_MPAP

then it said to connect usb cable
so i did then it said USB CABLE CONNECTED
then it stays like that then shuts off again.

can anyone tell me what happened to my phone and what i could do to fix it.

i have tried removing the battery and reinstalling it and it doesnt work.

I had a similar problem, I took mine to the verizon store and they determined I needed a new battery.
