Here's an interesting Motorola Keypad. It was manufactured by TOEC. Box was labeled V3C, but somehow I think they missed something.

Also attached is a pic of a Lower Back Plate they manufactured. Box also labeled V3C. It seems to look right, but the Keypad is a different animal.

Anybody have any clues what the Keypad replaces?

I've looked at V3C keypads. This one doesn't seem to have as many features and the pound sign seems to be in the wrong place.

This seems to be a shorter keypad also.

Notice the backwards thick checkmark on the center button? What is that supposed to be? An attempt at a Verizon icon?

    Weird.

That's common with keypads, they will all look a bit different depending on the service provider.

No doubt you're right Tony E.

Wonder what service provider that icon represents? Looks kinda like a Verizon checkmark but not sure.

The Keypad seems to be missing the 3 upper buttons that most all other Razrs have that we use for the Camera, IM, Editing, Back, Exit, Select, etc...

    Anyone else notice this?

HM, to me it looks like the space above the 1-2-3- buttons on the picture you posted should be above the camera and browser buttons, see my Razr keypad for comparison.

Thanks for pointing that out also Tony E.

Check out the pic of the Label on the box these Keypads came in.

Would help if anyone can read Chinese, but clearly seen is the V3C, but this Keypad doesn't look like any V3C I've ever seen.

TOEC is based in China and manufactures OEM parts for many big names such as Motorola.

    Well, ok....

Apparently I missed some type of rule here that foreign language can't be posted in type or pictures. Should have realized.

    Never sweat the small stuff.

Thanks for the reply Tony E.

I don't think anyone here is going to be able to tell me what this Keypad might be a replacement for. It certainly is not for a V3C.

    Thanks everyone and take care.
