Has anyone found a solution to the softkeys (left and right keys under the display) not responding within Java apps/games?

I found and attempted to utilize the Java Adapter for Mobile apps but had no success. The apps would not load (Java Class Error) after being modified. The Java Adapter for Mobile Apps appears to be focused on older phones.

Not sure if there is a combination of settings within the Java Adapter that could make it work. Or there may be another solution all together.

Any information would be appreciated.
