SLVR-L7 lcd not working
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a SLVR-L7 that had water damage a few years ago. I kept it stored since the lcd was not working. Now i want to fix it. The problem is not the lcd but i think it is the main board. I purchased a new lcd off ebay and that one doesnt work either. When i press *+# and power it up the back light comes on. The phone seems like it is working becayse i have accessed the music player on the phone yesterday. Any ideas on how to repair a main board? Does anyone know where i can purchase a new main board? Thank you.
I also forgot that i can connect it to the computer and access the sd stick on the phone.

Re: SLVR-L7 lcd not working
A phone that has water damage like that needs to be disassembled and cleaned carefully with pure alcohol. Minerals in water are left after the water dries and messes with the circuitry in the phone. It's possible that something is already fried.

Re: SLVR-L7 lcd not working
It is possible. I would think it might be a gpu chip integrated into the mainboard. So your recommending me to clean the board with alcohol and a q-tip? See if that works?
I have been making calls with the phone so i know everything works. Just wondering why not the display.
