1) I have a Motorola V550 once used to take a vid I now want to retrieve, burn to disk.
2) The same SIM card once in the Motorola is now in my Blackberry Pearl (no vid capabilities).
3) Cannot charge the Moto; may need a charger, battery, or both.
Q1: Must I actually use the Motorola to get the vid off the SIM, inserting the SIM, charging the battery, connecting to the PC, etc.
Q2: Do I even NEED to involve the old Motorola V550 in this? Is there some way to insert the SIM into my E1545 Dell cardreader, with an adapter of some sort? Will the PC read the info directly off the card?

Re: Getting vid off V550 Motorola
The SIM card does not store the video file. It is stored in the internal memory of the phone. You have to get the phone working to access the five megabytes of memory. There may be several avenues to retrieve the file. If the file is not too large, you can put the SIM card in to send the file as MMS to an email address on a computer. Use your search engine to locate the Motorola Tools software. With a USB cable you can use this suite to move file between the phone and a computer.
