It seems as if sales for the Motorola Xoom and Motorola Atrix have been disappointing to Motorola as according to James Faucette, Forbes and Pacific Crest analyst, he reports that "sell-through trends" for these two Android devices, which contain dual core processors, "have been disappointing."
AT&T is the mobile carrier for the Motorola Atrix 4G and sales of the handset are said to be "well below forecast." The AT&T Motorola Atrix 4G sales for $199 on a contract with AT&T and sales may be below average due to the some of the other popular smartphones such as the HTC Inspire 4G and Apple's iPhone 3GS. The HTC Inspire 4G and the iPhone 3GS are both cheaper on contract than the Atrix 4G as the Apple iPhone 3GS on contract is priced at $49 whereas the HTC Inspire 4G is priced at $99 on contract.
Verizon and Cellular South are the carriers of the Motorola Xoom and may soon be launched by Sprint, which could help sales a bit.
