    What if I buy the Atrix from Amazon Wireless and pick the "phone only (no service)" option (which will cost me $599), would I need to get this one unlocked too? Or is this the unlocked version?

    I checked the product page and it looks like it is locked to AT&T which is kinda odd because the price then would appear to be too expensive. If you want to get the unlocked version I would recommend you take a look at timtechs, all their phones are guaranteed to be factory unlocked.
