I have a 2 month old Motorola Blur from T-Mobile. Within the last week the battery life went from a consistent 36+ hours to less than 18 hrs, with very little usage (a few texts and less than 20 min talk time). My wife (Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant) is also experiencing this sudden change in battery life and we both downloaded Words With Friends Free last Friday, which is the only thing I can link to this sudden change. She uninstalled the game a couple days ago and is still having the problem. I just uninstalled it, so won't know if that helped for a day or so. I have made sure only default apps are running int he background - no 3rd party apps.
Is this normal? Is the battery a dud? What can be done?

Re: Motorola Blur - suddenly reduced battery life
I've had problems with words with friends reducing battery life. If you leave the application open it checks in every minute or so to see if an opponent has made a move. I would recommend backing out of the game before locking the phone. This made a difference for me.
I have no idea why it would keep happening after the app is uninstalled. Try letting it drain completely and recharging to full. If that doesn't work I would recommend trying another battery to see if there is a difference.
