I purchased a used Motorola W755 for my daughter (didn't want to spend a lot of money since she's always breaking phones) and I hooked it to my computer with a USB cable. It charges and makes a beeping sound when I connect it. However, the computer doesn't show the device anywhere. All I want to do is transfer some music files to the phone, but I can't because it's not showing up under device manager or as a connected device in any of my music programs. The Motorola website had a device manager thing that was supposed to be the drivers. I downloaded and installed it, but that didn't help even after rebooting the computer. I'm running Windows 7.

Re: Motorola W755: Computer won't recognize
Try downloading and installing Motorola's Software Update software. Which will install drivers and put the phone in to "USB Composite" mode when connecting it to the computer (which basically makes it behave like a drive), which most new phones do now anyway.
