Quickly Enabling / Disabling Wi-Fi:
- While on the home screen, swipe down the "Notification" bar
- Tap the "Menu" icon located at the upper-right corner of the screen
- Tap the "Wi-Fi" icon
- Tap the switch associated with Wi-Fi in order to toggle Wi-Fi on or off
Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network:
- While on the home screen, swipe the "Notifications" bar down
- Tap the "Menu" icon, then tap the "Wi-Fi" icon
- From the list of networks, tap the one that you wish to join
- If prompted, type in the required network password
- Tap "Connect"
Enabling / Disabling Bluetooth:
- From any of the home screens, swipe down the "Notification" bar
- Tap the "Menu" icon located in the upper-right corner of the screen
- Tap the "Bluetooth" icon
- Press the switch associated with "Bluetooth" in order to enable or disable this feature
Pairing With Another Bluetooth Device:
- While viewing any of the home screens, swipe down the "Notification" bar
- Tap the "Menu" icon and then tap "Bluetooth"
- Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled, then select the Bluetooth device which you wish to pair, from the list. (Note: you may have to wait for the scanning process is complete before finding the desired device in the list)
- If / When prompted, type in the passcode and tap "Pair". (By default, many devices have the Bluetooth password "1234" or "0000"
Enabling Tethering:
Tethering allows you to share your phone's data connection with your computer. Note that, depending on your agreement with the carrier, enabling this feature may result in extra charges!
- Connect your Moto X with your PC via the USB cable that came with your handset
- On your smartphone's screen, swipe the "Notification" bar down
- Tap the "Menu" icon and go to "Settings"
- Tap "More" and then tap "Tethering & portable hotspot"
- Mark the "USB tethering" check box to enable the feature
Enabling and Disabling Cellular Data / Setting a Data Usage Limit:
- While viewing the home screen, drag the "Notification" bar down
- Tap the "Menu" icon
- Select "Settings"
- Tap "Data usage"
- To completely disable mobile data connectivity, tap the switch associated with "Mobile data" and bring it in the "Off" position
- To set a mobile data limit, tap the "Set mobile data limit" check box, then drag the red and yellow graph bars in the desired location.
Note: the red bar represents the limit, while the yellow bar allows you to set a notification
Enabling / Disabling Airplane Mode:
Airplane mode disables all wireless communication abilities on your device. With Airplane mode enabled, texts, phone calls, messages and internet access will be disabled.
- While viewing the home screen, swipe the "Notification" bar open
- Tap the "Menu" icon and then tap the "Airplane mode" icon to toggle between on and off
Enabling NFC:
- Open the "Notification" bar
- Tap the "Menu" icon and go to "Settings"
- Tap "More"
- To enable / disable NFC, tap the switch associated with it to toggle between "On" and "Off"
Sharing Content via NFC:
- Make sure that NFC is enabled
- While on the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
- Tap "Gallery"
- Select the desired album and photo
- Tap the back of your phone to another NFC-enabled device
- Tap the handset's screen to "beam" the image via NFC
