Contact Management
Adding a New Contact:
- While viewing the home screen, tap the "Applications" icon
- Tap "People"
- Tap the "Add contact" icon depicting a "+" next to a human figure
- Type in the contact's name
- Enter the contact's phone number in the appropriate field
- Provide any additional information as you desire
- When ready, tap "Done" to save the contact
Using the Direct Dial Widget for Speed Dialing:
- Press and hold an empty space on your home screen
- Tap "Widgets"
- Scroll through your widgets and find the "Direct Dial" widget
- Tap and hold the "Direct Dial" widget, and drop it on top of a home screen
- Once the "People app" or "Contacts" list appears, select the desired contacts
- Repeat the process until you have added all the contacts that you want
- You can also create a folder for Direct Dial shortcuts, by dropping a new Direct Dial shortcut on top of an existing one
Importing / Exporting Contacts from the SD Card:
- Tap the "Applications" icon while viewing a home screen
- Tap "People"
- Tap the "Menu" icon and select "Import / Export"
- Select either "Import from storage" or "Export from storage"
- Follow any additional prompts, and tap "OK"
Importing / Exporting Contacts from the SIM Card:
- Launch the "People" application
- Tap the "Menu" icon and select "Import / Export"
- Tap "Import from SIM card" or "Export to SIM card"
- Perform any self-explanatory steps as they appear
- Tap "OK"
Deleting Contacts:
- From any home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
- Tap "People"
- Select the contact that you wish to delete
- Tap the "Menu" icon
- Tap "Delete" and press "OK" to confirm
Managing Caller Groups
Creating a New Caller Group:
- While on the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
- Launch the "People" application
- Access the "Groups" tab
- Tap "Add Group" and type in a name for the group
- To search for contacts that you want to add, type in the contact's name
- When ready, tap "Done"
Adding Contacts to an Existing Caller Group:
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch the "People" application
- Access the "Groups" tab located at the upper-right corner of the screen
- Select the desired group
- Tap "Menu" > "Edit"
- Enter the contact's name in the "Type person's name" field
- Repeat the process to add multiple contacts
- Tap "Done" to save the changes
