Transferring Audio Files from a Windows PC to Use as Ringtones / Notifications:
- Connect the Moto G LTE to your computer via USB
- From the home screen, swipe the "Notification" bar down
- If necessary, tap "Disk drive"
- From the AutoPlay window on your computer, click "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer"
- Click "OK"
- Locate the "Ringtones", "Alarms" and "Audio/Notifications" folders located in the "Media" folder on your smartphone
- Launch a second Windows Explorer window and locate the audio files stored on your PC's hard drive
- Transfer / copy the desired files on your phone's memory, in one or more of the aforementioned folders
- After the files have been copied, click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon from the system tray
- Click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" > "OK"
- You can now disconnect your smartphone
Changing the Smartphone's (General) Ringtone:
- Tap the "Apps" icon while on the home screen
- Tap "Settings"
- Swipe to "Device" and tap "Sound"
- Tap "Phone ringtone" under "Call Ringtone & Vibrate"
- Choose the desired ringtone from the list and tap "OK"
- If you wish, mark the check box next to "Vibrate when ringing"
Assigning a Custom Ringtone to a Single Contact:
- Open the apps drawer and launch the "People" app
- Choose the contact that you wish to customize
- Tap the "Menu" icon
- Tap "Set ringtone" and choose the desired ringtone
- Tap "OK" to assign it
Changing the Default Notification Sound:
- Tap the "Apps" icon located on the home screen
- Tap "Settings"
- Scroll to "Device" and tap "Sound"
- Under "System", tap "Default Notification Sound"
- Select the desired sound and tap "OK" to save the changes
