Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the Moto G4 Plus to your computer via USB
  2. When prompted, enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)”, otherwise enable the option from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the audio files on your computer and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” / “Alarms” folders in the “Media” directory
  5. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

Change the Ringtone:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Go to “Settings
  3. Under “Device”, tap “Sound & notification
  4. Tap “Phone ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm
  6. Optionally, you can turn “Also vibrate for calls” On or Off

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Under “Device”, tap “Sound & notification
  3. Tap “Default notification ringtone
  4. Tap the notification sound you want to set
  5. Press “OK” to confirm

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned for contacts located on the device’s internal storage or SIM card.

  1. Open “Contacts
  2. Select the contact you want to set a ringtone to
  3. Tap “Edit” > “Menu
  4. Select “Set ringtone
  5. Tap the desired ringtone and tap “OK” to confirm
