Hello,

I live in the US. I'm looking for an open (unlocked) cell phone that I can use with a carrier/no-contract plan allowing me to make calls to cell phones while in Canada. I don't need Internet and I won't likely text at all. I just want it in case of emergencies, so roaming fees, while preferably avoided, aren't a big issue. I've seen far too many options and can no longer think straight. What should I do?

As for finding this place, I have no idea. I joined a while back, posted a couple times, got overwhelmed and forgot my user name. So, I'm back. I probably googled 'cell phone forum' or something.
