    T-Mobile sucks!

Their service coverage is horrible. I lose signal in my own house, at the Air Force base where I worked, and in downtown of cities. Amazing how Verizon and AT&T works in all those areas… T-Mobile had great coverage for the 3 years I used them in Europe and Eastern Europe, but it sucks here in the USA.

Their customer service sucks. Their representatives are rude. They'll talk over you and never answer your questions. They’ll make excuses of cell tower maintenance for poor service coverage. All the time? Really?!

They do NOT obey federal law.
I asked for a discount when I started my service 2 years ago. I showed the store rep my military ID card, and specifically asked if they had a discount. They said “No”. Then I find out 2 years later that they WERE supposed to give me a 15% (or more) discount under the "Federal Telecommunication Act of 1996 - Discount to Federal Employees Past and Present". So, in 2 years, T-Mobile robbed me of $936!!!
I field a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and a T-Mobile rep then calls me to discuss it. (They refused to do so when I called them…) They had the gall to say that I was supposed to ask the Air Force for the discount. Unbelievable! I said that my cell phone contract was with T-Mobile, NOT the Air Force. He said that it was my responsibility to ask for the discount. I said I did! Was he not listening?!
I asked for his supervisor, but he refused to transfer me to anyone else. So I told him that if he wasn’t going to send a check or transfer me to his supervisor, that he was just wasting my time. He said again that he would not, so I hung up.

So, if you have T-Mobile, and if you have any problems, don’t be silent! Complain! Use these forums, the Better Business Bureau, and the Federal Trade Commission. We can’t let T-Mobile get away with robbing us!

If you are considering T-Mobile – DON’T!!! Stay the heck away from them!

T-mobile is great. They have great coverage where it counts and the plans are cheaper than AT&T and Verizon. Also T-mobile doesn't change a down payment, instead they have a flex-pay option where the only difference is that you pay your monthly bill up front rather than at the end of the month; no extra charges.

I don't know how things work where ever your from but here in America a company will never get away with such horrible customer service such as what you described with out a lot of backlash from the public. In fact sprint was just recently sued for relentless phony charges on their services so I don't think T-mobile or any other company would take that risk here. I have to say I don't believe you and the excessive use of those emote icons just tells me that you are just looking for attention.

I wouldn't go for T-Mobile if the coverage is not good. I had this and i had to wait before making every phone call to get the signal strength. Now switched to Verizon. Maybe not good with rate plans but atleast i don't have to stare at the screen to check for signal strength to make a call.

I'd like to switch to T-Mobile. My family likes to have several providers so if one phone isn't working, then, surely, another is. The girls are on Sprint, my dad's always been on Verizon, and my brother's always had Cingular, but it was terrible here (but it may be better now). I got a Verizon phone about a year ago, and I've had bad service. Coverage will go out even in my room in the second floor! My mom got a Sprint phone for free (the Sprint Store people can talk you into running off a cliff) and I've been using that too, which I've noticed has better coverage. When my dad and I went to Asia last spring, we were trying to figure out what to do with phones and we were in a wild goose chase with Sprint and Verizon buying dozens of phones and my aunt intervened and let us use her T-Mobile phones, and they worked even better than Sprint here! I also like the phones better. I'm planning on switching to them with my dad in September.
