something else you may try is use the Last 4 numbers of your cell phone number... ive done that on verizon and alltel phones.

I just did this. go to the security settings, the default password is the last 4 digits of your #. one you get there you go to number 5. restore phone. then hit yes. your glyde is now restored

Normally, when someone has a Verizon Wireless phone that they don't know the security code for, I just advise them to get the esn activated on their own Verizon Wireless line, then complete the *228 option 1 phone call to program the phone - when you get done with that transaction, the lock code will be the last 4 digits of YOUR phone number.

However, in this instance, that won't work because the phone is not E911 capable. And per United States federal law, no phone that is not E911 capable can be activated on any U.S. cellular service.

So the solution is going to be something more exotic than that. Good luck.

    try this

    *2767*688# unlocking codes
    *#8999*8378# all in one code

be aware that those codes are going to errase all personal information.
    good luck.

I did a google search and this is what I found:

    http://www.samsung.com/Products/Mobi...files/t300.pdf

The default lock code for your phone is the last four digits of your
phone number. You can enter a personal lock code or change the
lock code as often as you like.
To enter a new lock code:
    1. Press to display the menu.
    2. Press for Security.
    3. Enter your current lock code.
    4. Press for Lock Code.
    5. Enter a new 4-digit lock code by pressing the numeric keys.

The Reset option resets the phone and returns all options to the
factory default settings. All your Personal settings (Phone Book, Voice
Dial recordings, Messages, and Calendar) are not affected by
    resetting your phone.
    To reset the phone:
    1. Press to display the menu.
    2. Press for Security and enter your current lock code.
    3. Press for Reset Phone. A confirmation displays explaining that
you will reset the phone to factory defaults.
    4. Press to reset the phone
    5. Press to cancel the operation.
    6. The phone resets and restores the default settings, erases your
messages and then returns to standby mode.

It's very used. It was my friends, and before that his dads, and no one remembers the password.

Did you buy it new or used? That could be an issue, lol

I tried the last 4 digits of the number as well, no go. I was hoping there was some technicial trick to circumvent it, but hey, the thing is an antique anyway.

Try the last four digits of the phone number for the lock code. The "master reset" code should be all zeroes. That's not something he would have been able to change.

Thanks for the help guys. Unfortunately, there is no reset option under the "Set Up" menu. It must be under "Security" which is password protected, and it's not 0000, 1234, etc. I'm guessing I'm probably out of luck. (It's my friends old phone, and he does not know the password anymore).

Exactly. It'll be in the phone settings under "master reset" or "master clear". The password will either be 0000, 000000, 1234, or 123456
