    Is this a duplicate post? I just saw a post just like this a day or two ago. Couldn't locate it quickly tho'...

    Go in to the administrative options of your voice mail (follow the voice prompts) and see if message notification is set to ON, it may have been switched to OFF for some strange reason.

    Well my phone is the only one in my family that has this problem where my phone never gets notified when someone leaves a message in my voicemail.

    Does anyone know how to setup my phone so it knows when I have a voicemail?

    BTW I'm on Verizon with a LG Chocolate/VX8500.
