Oh, I didn't even notice wenpeek was from Dallas. So you could go with metroPCS if you'd like. The messaging for metroPCS is included with $45/mo. plan. You will get unl. text and picture messaging, unl. minutes(day/night/weekend) and long distance for only $45/mo.

With Alltel U prepaid you get the choice of 2 out of the 4: unlimited SMS, unlimited N/W minute, unlimited calls to one number, or unlimited M2M; all for $.75/day. Pay-Per-Day: U Prepaid Wireless Service from Alltel
They have some cheap flip phones.

If you need less then that, check out Welcome to TúYo.com
Tuyo Mobile is $.02 in and $.05 out for SMS. They use tmobile's native network. They are GSM so you can put then SIM in any tmobile "branded" or unlocked GSM phone with 850/1900 frequencies. So phone choice is yours.

Which carrier offers the best plan for text messaging? I text more than I talk and I'm a no frills kinda gal so I don't need a fancy phone with all the bells and whistles. Right now I have a Tracfone prepaid Nokia and it costs me .3 of a unit to send a text message (I can send 3 text messages per unit and a unit equals one minute) and I get free incoming text messages. The only thing I don't like about Tracfone is their selection of phones. I really like using flip phones the best and they don't have a very big selection to choose from.

So I was just curious to see if any other carrier out there could beat what I'm paying for text messaging now or is what I have the best there is? It can be prepaid or contract carrier. I appreciate any responses given.
