Can u guys increase the volume on the mp3 ringtone? I use Audacity and if I increase the volume it sounds really crappy.

Indeed it can, and the best part about it is that you don't need to convert it to a wav file to cut it. Just load the mp3, highlight the clip you want, copy it, open a new soundfile, paste the clip and save. I have it down so well that I can literally cut a new ringtone in less than a minute.

We dont talk about cracks in this forum, and SoundForge can change the bitrate as well. (I think)

Soundforge is sweet, A little too busy for me.
I use Mixmeister Pro to cut and then DbPowerAmp to convert.
I may try Soundforge to do all. I'll post my results

I definitely understand this. I hate typing in free software, having a promising link pop up, and then find out there is a fee. It is usually simpler just to buy the one with the best reviews.

Hey, now that I've figured out how to make ringtones, I need a good prog that can trim mp3s and compress them to make ringtones. I've downloaded a few that are nice, but I can't afford to buy any at the moment and my free trials are coming to an end Any free mixers out there that will make ringtone type files? Thanks.
