Just about every new electronic uses lithium ion batteries. Like it was said by others above me, these batteries have no memory capabilities (even if the minimum wage cell phone clerk swears there is).

You can google how these batteries work or just believe me. But it is better to charge the phone often and avoid deep discharges. If you let the battery run flat often, it will shorten its life span.

    Go figure, huh?

New lithium-ion batteries have no memory effect so charging it often is not as bad as it used to be as with the older type batteries...

Here's some good reading material on how to properly charge your battery.

We usually wait until half the battery life is gone and then charge, been doing it that way for years.

i heard that too many charges will i kill my overall battery life quicker. so if i charge my phone every single day (even when i have 2 bars of life left and don't necessarily need to charge it again) will this kill my battery overall?

or should i let it die down more before fully charging again?
