Okay... I need help too.. I have Boost right now. I am using the i475 I believe is what it is called. I have a Sprint HTC Evo that I am wanting to use with my boost service.. can someone tell me what the steps are that I need to take to get this evo hooked up onto my boost service. Can you share your secrets because I have tried calling and the first couple of times when they looked up the MEID number and asked me if it was a sprint phone I said yes but then I called once more and said no but he was persistant....do I keep calling because one lady said they use to flash phones, well she didnt use that term but yeah.

Purchase a CDMA Boost phone, such as a w385 or KRZR, to set up the CDMA plan that you will need. This plan will be used on your Sprint phone. Ensure that you have the CDMA and not the iDEN Boost plan, since there are two different technologies that Boost phones can use.

Visit a cell phone enthusiasts' forum, such as HowardForums or SprintUsers, and purchase or borrow a Boost phone ESN, if you do not want to buy a new Boost phone for this process. If the ESN has already been used, a $10 fee will apply to "reactivate" the ESN on Boost but will later be converted to a $10 credit on your bill to make it refundable.

Wait about two weeks and call Boost to verify that the phone you intend to use can be activated on its system. Do not do this as soon as you purchase the Boost phone, since Boost more than likely will not activate the Sprint phone. Talk to a customer service representative, who should be able to give you the two codes needed to switch your phone from the Sprint to Boost network. It may take a few tries to get a representative who is willing to help you.

Give the customer service representative your Sprint phone's ESN/DEC. Find this 16-digit code under your phone's battery or on the box in which it came. Follow the instructions given to navigate to the fields in which the codes you are given need to be entered.

Power on the phone so it can program itself if the representative does not offer to walk you through the process. Ask for the instructions to program it manually, even if told the phone will program itself. Usually, the process will involve dialing ##XXXXXX# (with your Master Subsidy Lock replacing the Xs), selecting "Edit," and entering your phone number, then the MSID (Mobile Station ID). BlackBerry phones will have a similar process, with some of the keys being different.

Boost officially does not assist with flashing devices, simple as that, its a shot in the dark if you pay someone to do it for you, they offer no support for it, and you'll more than likely end up screwed. A boost phone isn't that expensive... just suck it up with your monthly savings, and you'll recoupe the device cost after month 3 or 4. Do the math, its super easy.

Well this is right all the comments on this thread are right the only but boostmobile.
does have both iden and cdma networks that is why they have the w385 oldie but goodie,they did started out with the walkie talkie only but the moved up in this world.
i have not tried it my self but i belive you can all you have to do is change the esn to a lodie but goodie and i belive that you will get messages and calls only rumor has it that some people are able to get web.celulap.

As an educated answer. Much better phones can be put to run on boost. Starting with Sprint Androids. They work awesome, 3G web, tethering, picture messaging. All for $50 a month. its not cheap to get it done. But it will pay for itself in less than 6 weeks vs Sprint's monthly bill. PLUS you can bring your number from whatever provider. Just gotta get ahold of the phone and Boost Flashing

you can yes you can put a sprint bb8330 on boost mobile cdma plan. Its fairly easy. The only thing that doesn't work is the internet and mms at first but then you have to download the service books for the phone and you have sprint phone basically and i only pay the 50 unlimited plan
