Will somebody help me please? I have the Lg Vu-CU920. I got the data sync cable for it. I downloaded the bitpim software and all of the drivers for it. I put my phone in Data Service mode. I run the bitpim program. It states that it can not find my phone. On the com port it states that it is random. When I hook up my phone it says that it is charging. I would really like to use the bitpim program so that I can modify my phone. I'm using windows xp.

hi i had the same error message forever trying to get bitpim to recognize the port it was using. you need to goto your start menu and search for device manager..then go under either modem or ports , right click on your phone that shows and click properties. that will show you what port it is using. then enter that on bitpim setting screen. goto the drop down menu data in the top menu bar on bitpim and click get phone data. try this and tell me if you all got it now, for those with error codes? you might need to press the refresh button on the data window that comes up to see if the port is active.

I've followed the instructions, but when I try to 'get' phone data I get and error message:

    COM7: could not open port\\?\COM7: (5, 'CreateFile','Access is denied.')

When I plugged my USB connector in in the 'Data Service Mode', Vista took a long time to retrieve and add the drivers. In Device Manager under Ports, there is a device 'LGE Mobile USB Serial Port (COM7) and it shows it as running properly.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanx
