    Unfortunately, it cannot.

    Metro PCS uses a technology referred to as CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access). This means more calls can be placed per second than any other technology. GSM is exactly that, GSM (Global System for Mobile).

    Since CDMA does not use SIM Cards, the two technologies are completely incompatible.

    A Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Alltel, US Cellular, etc. device could most likely be flashed over to metro as long as it didn't have EV-DO Rev A capabilities.

    Try another small carrier, similar to Metro PCS, in your area. Look for a GSM carrier.

    I have an unlocked LG KF510 GSM phone that I am wondering if it work on Metro PCS carrier? Does anyone know? Thanks.
