My friend has been able to pull this of on 5 phones cuz he kept losing them...
He has AT&T service and says that the phones have to be sim card type.
I have Sprint service so I think I will lie and say "My friend has been able to pull this of on 5 phones cuz he kept losing them and he has sprint
This way I can find the universal answer for this problem.

Yes, one some providers you can, others are trickier, i think you can do that with nextel, although i found this service the other day that does the same thing if your provider does not...

SecondVoice | One cell phone, two numbers...

might this be a better fix for you?

No, that's not what he wants. He said "2phones on 1 line" NOT "2 lines on 1 phone"

I also would very much like to figure out how to do that.

How do you get two cell phones onto a single line?

I'm looking for new cell service, for two people. One person uses the phone 4 or 5 times daily, and leaves phone on for incoming calls; the other uses it only 3-4 times a week, and leaves it turned off unless she's using it. She doesn't want incoming calls, "It's for my convenience, not everyone else's."

About 6 years ago, we had a different cell phone account, with one phone. Later on, we bought a new phone at a local phone boutique. We had it programmed to our existing number. I stuck the old phone away somewhere, and checked it out of curiosity a few weels later. Gadzooks, it still worked, making and receiving calls on the same number!

We moved to different city a few years later and no longer have that carrier. And now any carrier I ask sez "No, if you want two phones, you have to pay for two lines. It's not possible to have two phones on one line!"

Bull****, we had that for about three years, and they both worked fine. How can I do that again?

I'd appreciate some advice. I did search the forum, but couldn't identify anything on the topic.

    Cheers,
