I see some of the previous sites posted are no longer working. Can anyone verify that the one above is legit?
is a free esn checker Sorry this site no longer checks sprint esn's
I think it takes forever to do as well. Pain in the butt
Worst case scenario, there are buyback programs that accepts phones with bad ESNs. One of them, I believe is called P4C Global.
Actually, Sprint has a few contracts to database companies that allow them access. These businesses have to pay for a license that allows them to use the database to check ESNs. These businesses like CheckESN and PhoneHistory mostly cater to businesses that usually have a constant flow of used phone inventory and need ways to check their ESNs. I believe Sprint is the only carrier that has such a program. It was mostly designed so Sprint would profit and at the same they would be able to free up lines at the call center since a rep wouldn't have to spend lots of time tending to callers asking them to check a hundred or so ESNs.

We also pay them with donuts sometime.
Yeah, it's about the same thing for us too.
About 9 an hour. We hired a college intern to do it. Granted, it was somewhat cheaper in some ways, depending largely on volume. However, the issue was that it just took too damn long since we were constantly getting new inventory.
Just out of curiosity, since you're using, how much before were you paying someone to actually sort though all those ESNs from Sprint?
The best part is that verification isn't a chore anymore since it can be done automatically without a middleman.
I have to say that it is by all means legitimate since I managed to get a large amount of ESNs verified and they were accurate.
Yes CheckESN.com is LEGIT. I run the show.
Are you sure a site like CheckESN.com is legitimate? I mean, I would assume that Sprint would already have a function like that, but free or at least cheaper. Instead, you have to rely on a third party. I mean how do you know it's not a scam.
