Reply #1: read first, then reply.

Reply #2: I did call and ask. I don't really want to go PostPaid as I don't use this number enough to justify monthly charge. I wanted to clear my bases BEFORE I lose my phone, which can happen down the road.

Well that is a short way to put it, but I would have to agree. I am not sure if the rep was correct in telling you that you would loose your phone number. Did you try transfering the phone number to a new prepaid account, and see if they will transfer the funds out of it? If that doesn't work, I would try converting to the post-paid account and transfer the phone number to whatever you can just so you don't loose your phone number. In any case, I would give a call to cust service and see what they can do for you. If they can't help, hang up and call back and see if you get a better rep..

I called *TOGO, and I'm told that I can suspend service so that whoever found it won't use my minutes and that I can have the balance re-credited, but I will lose my number.

So... is this a mistake.. hopefully... or do I really lose my number if I lose my T-Mobile To Go prepaid handset?!

Also, I'm told it's possible to convert prepaid to normal plan. Doesn't that mean that by having my account passphrase and PIN, I can transfer my mobile number from my lost SIM to a new SIM?
