    I don't think it is mechanical issue since it's same number every time. And it's not a random sequence of numbers, its phone number in my country which you can call.

    Did the phone ever get wet? You can check the moisture sticker that is usually on or under the battery.

    I recently got Motorola KRZR-K1 from my older brother (He used it before me). When I try to edit number of any of my contacts, weird thing happens. If you press 0 when u scroll down to number of contact you wish to edit, some totally other number appears on screen. Could it be that he setup some sort of hidden contact number, or it's just totally random? If I haven't been clear enough feel free to ask further questions.
