Sony Ericsson is good but Nokia is better.

Both brands have made great phones but there are specific models that stand out among the rest. In terms of quantity of which brands produced better phones I'd go for Sony Ericsson. I sometimes think that Nokia is always playing safe and does not want to explore unlike SE who is willing to try new innovation.

Depends upon what features you are looking for but... I'll go with SE

It depends on the model u can't just generalise

I like SE bacause of the music, but Nokia has less problems, SE has more problems and a nokia lasts longer...

Nokia has a slower OS. I would like them but the response time is just annoying me.

Nokia is more reliable, don't have the Firmware or Hardware problems like Sony ericsson, BUT it costs twice and don't have good applications as Sony Ericsson have by default.

I think Sony Ericsson kicks ass in design too
