All you have to do is go into "Accounts and Sync" in settings, tap "Add New Account" Don't use the "Mail" app, use the "Gmail" app for your Gmail. It pushes rather than fetches (meaning, when mail comes, you get it immediately instead of the phone checking for it every 15 minutes)

You remove it the same way.

Accounts and Sync>tap the account you want to remove, then you'll see a button to remove it.

I did setup second Gmail account. Worked fine. Could not delete original, defective Gmail account -- not allowed. Then my good account disappeared. Verizon could not straighten out the bad account. Had to set phone back to default and start over. Lost some data, but now all is well.

I have just set up a Gmail account on my Mac using Mail and POP. How do I setup this same account on my Droid?

Also, how do I delete an existing (defective) Gmail account on my Droid?

PLEASE NOTE: The cell phone in question is a Motorola A855, an Android, and my Provider is Verizon. This model is not on Cell Phone Forums' phone list. I checked the nearest number and landed a BlackBerry, not mine.
