Only SOME of Straight Talk's phone use Verizon, and Boost's phones might pick up a Verizon tower in a remote area sometimes.

I love the Intercept especially if you are gonna use it on the $25 plan. It is on the 2.1 o.s. and it has a slide out keyboard, i'm not a big fan of texting on a touch screen. I think if your willing to go with the sprint cdma network your best option would be virgin and the intercept for the plan rates but then agian it depends on what you want your phone to do. There is always the blackberries but the plan no matter which one you pick would be $10 higher on both Boost and Virgin.

So with Sprint/Nextel owning both Virgin Mobile and Boost.
The Boost cdma network will be identical to the virgin mobile.
apples to apples so to speak, because the are bound to the Sprint native (cdma) network.

    i am not a talker, i use anywhere from 100 - 300 anytime minutes.
(being nights and weekends 7pm-7am blah... )
but my text msg are in the 1000's and my data push well over 2-3 gigs a month.

now having babbled and swing the this thread 180.

    whats your take on VM?

the samsung intercept is on the lower end of droid's
but put that with VMS $25 beyond ?

    Thoughts an Input ??

Boost phones will only work on a dedicated sprint tower and the only smartphones for Boost right now are the i1 android iden or the BlackBerry 8530 cdma . I would only reccomend the i1 if your going to use the PTT feature because if you are not connected to a wifi network the internet is on the iden and will run like dial up plus the o.p. is the 1.5 a little out dated. but if you are connected to a wifi network via mifi 2200 or similiar device and you use the PTT there is no more functional phone than the i1 it just depends on your preference.

I ditching my contract with AT&T in January when it's up. coat to much well over $200 for 3 phones.

after researching many prepaid carriers and options.
with Verizon being the largest CDMA network in the US.
I would like to go with that network service.

Yes Straight Talk rides on Verizon, but their Phones appear to be really cheesy, I'm looking for smart phones.

    So here are my questions.

    1. will Boost mobile use/roam on Verizon?
    2. does boost have a phone the will work on CDMA and the iDEN?

    Thanks Craig
