Currently, the HTC EVO 3D allows for the capture of 3D images and videos. Unfortunately, only you or other EVO 3D users can view these photos, which can be a hassle when wanting to share the gist of an image without the 3D being an issue or feature. This how-to will show you how to convert a 3D photo taken on an HTC EVO 3D into a regular, 2D photo.

    1. Take a new 3D photo or select an existing one from the gallery.

    2. Once the photo is taken/selected and is in view in the gallery, select the 'Magic Wand' at the bottom of the screen (second from the left).

    3. Select the 'Save As 2D' option at the very top of the selection menu.

    4. You will be prompted if you are sure you want to do this. Select 'OK'. Note: You will still retain your 3D image; a separate 2D image will be saved to your phone for you to use without overriding the 3D original.

    5. You now have a 2D copy of your 3D image! Images taken in 3D are captured with a 2 megapixel resolution. They will remain the same resolution as 2D images.
