First - when you suspend ask for the "reduced rate suspend" - $10 per month for the time the phone is on suspend. -
Yes your ATT cell phone service will be suspended, your voicemail will not accept any voicemails, people will get "not accepting calls at this time"
Second - when the phone is on suspension the wifi will still work. you can use the phone as a miniature ipad.

    Hey all,

First time poster, long time reader. Simple question: I'm suspending my AT&T account (at $10 a month) to go on a Round The World Trip at the end of July for 3 1/2 Months. I'm getting some mixed information and trying to get to the bottom of it: With a suspended account, will the WiFi on my Iphone still work per normal (so I can use LocalPhone and other apps while on WiFi around the world) or is there more that I will I need to do? Thanks!
