airports are there for travel and commerce .Wifi at hotels ,airports etc are a conveinence for customers not for people who need a quick wifi hook up.Im sure most folks would rather go to a coffeeshop ,not drive out to a airport. Look up what San Jose CA has done, providing free wifi ( hi speed ) for its citizens. Well done, maybe there is hope

I think things will get better; Airports are upgrading their systems to attract customers = $$$

I had similar problem at CLT airport yesterday:
After several attempts was finally able to connect SIII to CLT Free wifi...
Connected SIII wifi to desired SSID, open browser and CLT wifi site opens, agree, surf web.
I COULD NOT GET THAT SAME FREE WIFI ON MY LAPTOP ):

Very strange - did you ever figure out why this was happening?

    Hello guys,
    I own a LG Optimus Black(P970).

The cell is pretty good, but the only problem that I find is that I cannot access Internet via wifi.

I tried using wifi(Status: Connected, Security: WPA/WPA2 PSK, Signal-strength: Excellent) at home.
Everytime I connect to the wifi-network, it authenticates-connects-disconnects-connects-disconnects and so on.

Tried it at other places too. And the result was the same.
All the places that I tried, the signal strength was excellent.

Recently, I tried it at my office.
The wifi network over there is secured with WEP
(Status: Connected, Security: WEP, Signal-strength: Excellent, link-speed: 54Mbps).
When I tried to connect it, there were no issues in the connection/authentication. It stayed connected until I turned the wifi off. But the problem is that I cannot connect/access the Internet even though its connected to the wifi network.

    Need some help guys.

Note: I am damn sure that there's nothing wrong with the password.
